Guide for courses evaluation and upgrading

Although the project main actors, tutors and learners, have reached the envisaged work targets, and the global experience within this group has been positively evaluated, there is always a need of analysing and improving, if necessary. In this context, the Guide for courses evaluation and upgrading, synthesize the relevant aspects and conclusions drawn after each partner evaluation.

4. Analysis of the information provided by the partner institutions

4.5. Communication trainer – trainees

Regarding the interaction and communication between trainer - trainees during the training activities (face-to-face and online courses), the following relevant aspects can be emphasized:

  • The interaction between trainers and trainees had a smooth ongoing.
  • The communication with the trainees was straightforward, smooth and relaxed.
  • There were two types of interactions between trainer and trainees: direct interaction during face-to-face courses and virtual interaction during the online courses, for all seven modules.
  • The face-to face course was performed according to the planned schedule.
  • The sequence of the modules taught was the same as the sequence of modules on the e-learning platform.
  • In the face-to-face session, the lecturers used PPT slides and/or directly e-learning materials from the platform. Also, brief visits to the facilities and laboratory have been made.
  • The tutors presented their modules synthesizing and enlarging the subjects whenever they felt more interest from the trainees.
  • Some of the tutors presented interactively the modules, by asking questions to the trainees and reacting to their answers.
  • Very usable was the direct and relaxed conversation between the lecturers and trainees during the coffee breaks.
  • In the e-learning phase, the trainees could have a direct communication with the lecturers on every Thursdays from the course allocated week.
  • The e-learning  platform was easy to access and the communication with the students was easy
  • The trainees were especially receptive and often interacted with each other and with the trainers.
  • Some trainees used the e-learning platform for questions (via forum) answered by the module teacher.
  • The trainees had the chance to put their questions already when lecturing the contents of the modules.
  • The self-assessment was a strong point of the courses, students having the opportunity to increase their test scores up to the maximum one.
