Abstract

Anthropometric studies focus in the average body in a standing positions. The goal of these studies in different countries leave outside several minorities, some growing very fast. The industry needs to provide a dignify offer for these minorities, but real measurements, shape and knowledge of the main biotypes is not available.

A project involving different countries and partners with 3D body scanner abilities, defining a same methodology for data acquisition in different and non conventional positions, would provide the data needed for a wider knowledge of these minorities, offering the industry real data for the production of more and better products.
