1)      Please provide the most interesting example of technical / smart textiles that you have.

STAP, a.s. - We are currently the biggest manufacturer of narrow fabrics in Europe and have 300 employees. Our headquarters are located in Velky Senov and we have 2 subsidiaries in Vilemov and Velky Senov. We use modern Jakob Müller looms, with a production capacity of over 200 mil. metres per year. Our clients are within the automotive, electrical, military, health care, haberdashery, garment and shoe making industries. We are one of the last companies in Europe manufacturing Jacquard ribbons, which are particularly used for folk costumes and other decorative purposes. We export our products throughout Europe, USA, Japan, Australia and Russia – www.stap.cz

For the project propose we can use OPTIC FIBRES – different diameter for different usage.

-          Small diameters – lights in PES tubes – lights for bags, reflective elements

-          Bigger diameter – lights line in aircrafts, hotels, lifts

-          Combination optical – reflective effects – accumulation of energy in case of switch off the battery/source

 

2)      How did you promote or put your product on the market?

-          Trade fairs (national, international)

-          Websites

-          Exclusivity for the marketing agency to promote the company products

 

3)      What requirements do you customers most request? (EC Certifications, washing etc.)

 

-          According to the intended use: certificates, tests – colorfastness, heat resistance,

-          ECO labels, ROS labels

-          Main customer requirements are related to the care symbols, how to wear it, how to care of it

 

4)      Do you agree in sharing some of these experiences for educational purposes?
