Name of product: innovative vest (BMW Drivers)

Specialists in smart clothing from PAFIL developed a motorcycling vest for the German brand, with a brand-new electronic heating system and it’s one of the most innovative products in BMW’s line of clothing.

The product was so appealing that BMW extended the supply contract for an extra two years, from the initially arranged five years. The vest incorporates an electronic system composed of five heating plates, laid out across the chest, back and lumbar areas, which are regulated by the driver, who is able to adjust the temperature at any moment.

The thermal system is fed by a connection to the motorcycle, and the control enables the choice between three levels: low, medium and high. In any case, the vest can be worn underneath a jacket, or even underneath competitive gear. Besides the electronic system, the vest has a cut that adjusts to the body, features a raised and insulating collar and is manufactured in a breathable, water and wind proof material.

2)      How did you promote or put your product on the market?

Pafil is a global clothing producer specializing in Snow wear, Fashion, Mountain and EPI's (individual protection). Our Innovation and Development team provides our customers with an innovative product using the most varied technologies such as material fusion, fabric gluing, laser cutting and engraving, sealing and smart textiles. The BMW vest was developed by costumer demand. The product was developed with another partner agente (DeDePro);
